SITE MANAGER 

 We are looking for a Site Manger to join our team, preferably with a carpentry background and a comprehensive understanding of the construction process from the ground up. You will work closely with the Project Manager who will assist with programming and provide support to ensure you are able to run a highly productive site.

The Applicant

APPRENTICE CARPENTER

We are currently looking for a 1st year apprentice Carpenter to join our team

The Applicant

You will need to be a first or second year apprentice carpenter and must have the legal right to work in Australia.

As well as:

  • Basic knowledge to read and follow engineering and architectural plans

  • Be a person who takes pride in their work

  • Have an ability to follow precise direction

  • The ability to work unsupervised

  • Be pro-active rather than re-active

  • Have good communication skills

  • Be reliable and honest

  • Ensure all company assets are secure and used safely and competently

  • General labour and assist with deliveries

PROJECT ARCHITECT

We are looking for a qualified architect to join our team and provide project management service and head up a new design team. As project leader you will manage the design and delivery of a variety of projects between $1m - $15m. 

You will need at least 5 years experience as a qualified registered architect with strong attention to detail, documenting and detailing ability and design awareness.  You must have a solid understanding of industry standards and legislation, with comprehensive knowledge of BCA.  

The role

  • Responsible for quality of production and co-ordination projects.

  • Participation and contribution as a project leader across all phases of the architectural process.

  • Programming, planning and budgeting projects in detail

  • Quality control of final architectural product

  • Identification, selection and appointments of consultants on behalf of the company

  • Liaison and management of consultants

 

Skills and Experience

  • Fully competent in all phases of the architectural process: Concept Design, Design Development, Documentation and Construction/Site Administration

  • Systematic approach to Design Development, Documentation, Dimensioning, Referencing and Detailing complete architectural packages

  • Fully competent in the application of computer software including Revit, Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite

  • Report writing and schedule preparation skills

  • Thoroughness in quality control

  • Organisation skills - especially time management of self and project team

  • Chairing and documenting project meetings

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and project team concurrently

  • Formulation and communication of the project brief

  • Managing project fees including preparation of proposals, variations and invoices

SENIOR ESTIMATOR

We are looking for a senior estimator to head up the estimating team. This role will lead and manage the preparation and submission of cost estimates on tenders and bids, identify and respond to tenders, and ultimately value engineering opportunities to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and the business.

The role

  • Acting as the face of the business when dealing with clients, including pre and post tender meetings

  • Manage the tender estimating and cost planning processes for allocated tenders

  • Reviewing tender documentation to develop accurate SOW, BOQ and Cost Plans

  • Issuing trade packages to sub-contractors and ensuring trade quotes are received

  • Reviewing and analysing subcontractor quotes and negotiate to obtain best price

  • Preparing take-offs and tender estimates

  • Leading the negotiation and clarification stage during Post Tender

  • Servicing and expanding subcontractor database

  • Identify, evaluating and estimate value management opportunities

  • Liaising with the team to ensure pre-contracts output efficiencies are met

  • Executing tender requests and submissions

  • Liaising with the delivery team to understand and capture performance metrics

  • Conduct quality checks on tender

 

Skills and Experience

  • Degree Qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar

  • Proven performance through successful tenders and bids up to $15M

  • Building and Construction Industry knowledge with strong client and stakeholder networks

  • Solid understanding of value engineering principles

  • Extensive experience as an Estimator in the construction field.

  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards

Remuneration

All job positions are salary negotiable, depending on experience with the potential for profit share in addition to the base salary.
